GOLD BAR — A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-alarm house fire Tuesday near Gold Bar.
The man was described as being in his 50s. He suffered burns to the torso, along with smoke inhalation, Gold Bar Fire Chief Eric Andrews said. He was flown in a helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The fire was reported about 12:50 p.m. in a double-wide mobile home along Goldbar Boulevard. The man apparently tried to extinguish the flames. “He was overcome with smoke and collapsed,” Andrews said. “He was rescued.”
The trailer sustained heavy damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Crews also responded from Sultan and Fire District 7.
