DARRINGTON — An 18-month-old boy was taken to a Seattle hospital Monday night with a gunshot wound. His condition was not available.
The boy was struck in the cheek by a bullet or shrapnel, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The shooting was reported just before 7 p.m. at a house in the 1100 block of Riddle Street in Darrington.
Adults at the home were looking at a new gun when one of them reportedly pointed the gun at a TV and pulled the trigger, Hover said. The bullet went through the TV, the wall and into a nearby room where the boy was.
The shooting remains under investigation, Hover said. No arrests had been made as of late Monday night. Further details were not available.
