MARYSVILLE — A child care facility in Marysville and a men’s homeless shelter in Everett have been closed due to positive COVID-19 cases.

The Snohomish Health District ordered the closure of Tender Hearts Dayschool in Marysville, which so far has seen 10 confirmed and four probable cases of COVID-19, primarily in children. The health district is helping with symptom monitoring, testing status and quarantine procedures. The facility is closed through July 14.

One person tested positive at the Everett Gospel Mission Men’s Shelter in Everett last week. That person has no symptoms and is in stable condition, the health district said. The Everett Gospel Mission closed the shelter out of “an abundance of caution” so the space can be cleaned and sanitized.

In the meantime, 51 residents have been relocated tot he isolation and quarantine facility at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Everyone who has come in contact with the person who tested positive will be tested and monitored.
