The shooting was reported about 12:20 a.m. in the area of 238th Place SW and 76th Avenue W., just west of Lake Ballinger, Edmonds police Sgt. Jeff Jones said.
Another person had driven the victim, 20, of Edmonds, to a local hospital when police arrived, he said. She suffered gunshot wounds to her left arm and right hand.
She is expected to survive.
Detectives are investigating, Jones said. They don’t believe the shooting was random.
