EVERETT — An Everett man was arrested Thursday for investigation of first-degree murder, days after a woman was found dead off Highway 99, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives were still investigating if the man, 30, had any relationship with the woman, said Courtney O’Keefe, a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office.

Someone reported finding the body around 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the 11600 block of Highway 99. The woman’s name and age had not been released by the county medical examiner’s office, as of Thursday. Nor had the cause and manner of death.
