Everett man identified after being found dead in creek

LAKE STEVENS — A man found dead in Little Pilchuck Creek was identified Thursday as Renee Baltazar Romero, 28, of Everett.

A neighbor discovered his body in the creek around 5:30 p.m. Monday near the 3400 block of North Machias Road on the outskirts of Lake Stevens.

Baltazar Romero had been reported missing the preceding Thursday, Feb. 18.

Earlier this week, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office noted there were “no obvious signs” of foul play.

The cause and manner of death were still pending further investigation Thursday, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
