EVERETT — Police got involved after what may have been a drug deal sparked a violent argument.
Police were called to a reported robbery at the Everett Mall parking lot about 8:30 p.m., Everett police Lt. Jim Duffy said. A possible drug deal, officers learned, turned into a heated argument involving pepper spray and a gun. The suspects fled in a car.
After a chase on northbound I-5, officers caught up with the suspects at 41st Street and S. Third Avenue.
A large amount of cash, two bottles of pepper spray and a loaded handgun were found in the suspects’ car.
Police questioned three men and arrested one of them, Duffy said.
