EVERETT — Port of Everett commissioners have awarded a new $15.2 million contract to continue the development of new retail at Waterfront Place.
The commission gave the contract to Faber Construction. The company is expected to break ground next month on two new multi-tenant buildings along Seiner Drive.
Both buildings are expected to be largely completed in spring 2025, with businesses opening in summer 2025.
The project includes plans for 18,000 square feet of indoor space, 3,000 feet of open-air space and a 78-stall parking lot, all on Fisherman Harbor’s “Restaurant Row.”
Restaurants slated for a new 12,000-square-foot building include Rustic Cork Wine Bar, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Alexa’s Cafe, and Tapped Public House.
A smaller, 6,000-square-foot building, on the corner of Seiner Drive and West Marine View Drive, will house a fish market and Mexican restaurant.
The development comes on the heels of two other restaurants opening along Seiner Drive. Asian fusion spot Fisherman Jack’s and South Fork Baking Company opened last year.
“We’re excited to deliver this next wave of development and create even more spaces for people to come together at the waterfront while also creating new job opportunities,” said Port of Everett CEO Lisa Lefeber in a press release Wednesday. “We look forward to welcoming new tenants to round out the dining options here and continuing to bring this community vision to life.”
