EVERETT — Everett Public Schools’ Gary Cohn has been named 2017 Superintendent of the Year by the Washington Association of School Administrators.
Cohn joined the district in 2009. Before coming to Everett he was the superintendent of Port Angeles School District and also has been the vice president of the Lake Washington Technical College.
The state award is “designed to recognize outstanding leadership of active, front-line superintendents and pay tribute to those who lead our public schools,” the district wrote in a press release Friday.
The school board is expected to recognize Cohn at its meeting Tuesday.
