Explosion shatters Everett apartment complex windows

Police were called to the Monte Cristo apartment complex, 2929 Hoyt Ave., Tuesday night.

EVERETT — An explosion Tuesday night blew out several windows in the Monte Cristo apartment building at 2929 Hoyt Ave.

At around 9:45 p.m., police responded to calls about a loud boom in the alleyway east of the Monte Cristo building, Everett Police Department spokesperson Aaron Snell said.

Police arrived to find shattered glass and debris in the alleyway.

No residents were injured, Snell said.

The cause of the blast is unknown. A bomb squad investigation was underway.
