EDMONDS — A fire destroyed a vacant house Wednesday night in the Perrinville neighborhood.
Crews were summoned to the 7900 block of 185th Place SW about 7:35 p.m. They arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.
Smoke could be seen for miles.
Crews had the fire under control in about an hour, said Don White, a battalion chief with Snohomish County Fire District 1. About 25 Edmonds and Lynnwood firefighters responded.
The damage is estimated at $60,000.
Fire investigators were at the scene Thursday morning, Battalion Chief Jerry Sheehan said. They didn’t immediately know what caused the fire.
No injuries were reported.
