LAKE STEVENS — The Lake Stevens Police Department is investigating stolen property crimes related to a pursuit that ended with a man jumping from the U.S. 2 trestle Monday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., Lake Stevens officers responded to a vehicle theft on Highway 204, officer Brandon Fiske said.
The driver crashed as he got on the trestle. When officers tried to speak with him, he leapt over the side, Fiske said.
“The suspect ended up hiding in some sticker bushes,” Fiske said. “He was located by officers and subsequently arrested.”
Fiske said the driver is under investigation for possession of materials related to identity theft.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.
