MUKILTEO — “You Are Not Alone” is a free conference Saturday for all ages about suicide education and mental health.
Workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave.
The Mukilteo Recreation Department is hosting the event in partnership with the Children’s Wellness Coalition-Suicide Prevention Taskforce.
The conference is for parents, teachers, coaches, middle and high school youth, and all community members looking to better equip themselves to help others.
Breakfast and lunch, provided by Tapped Mukilteo, is free.
No registration is required to attend.
Community agencies will have resource tables. Medication lock boxes and gun locks will be available. Therapy dogs will be on hand.
Separate sessions are for adults, youth and all ages.
Topics include:
• Narcan Training & Fentanyl Awareness.
• How to Have Hard Conversations and Manage Conflict.
• Understanding the Influence & Effects of Social Media.
• Safe Dating & Safety Planning. Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth.
• Developing A Safety Plan, Helping Friends in Crisis.
