Free movie for Native American Heritage Month

The Edmonds Diversity Film Series offers a free screening of “The Only Good Indian,” starring Wes Studi, noon Saturday at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St. The film showing is part of a monthly series that continues into April. There is no film in December.

Navy League to honor sailors

The Lake Washington & Everett Council of the Navy League of the United States will hold a dinner in honor of all the sailors and units homeported at Naval Station Everett, 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Port of Everett Blue Heron Room, 1205 Craftsman Way, Suite 200, Everett. Outstanding Sailors of the Quarter and Sailors of the Year from different commands will be honored. Rear Adm. Scott Gray, commander of Navy Region Northwest, will be the keynote speaker.

Tickets are $50. Seats are limited. Registration required by Nov. 30.

The Everett chapter of PFLAG meets 7 p.m. third Mondays in downtown Everett. Confidential group unites people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning with families, friends and allies.

A group for the blind and visually impaired meets 10 a.m. third Mondays at the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave.

Early stage memory loss group

Emotional, educational and social support is available for those who are in the early stages of memory loss. The Alzheimer’s Association provides a space to share experiences and learn about memory loss in a confidential environment. Registration is required for this group, which meets 10:30 a.m. to noon second Thursdays in Everett.

Support groups for brain-incident survivors and their caregivers meet regularly across Snohomish County.
