Valentine’s Day dance

Family dance: A family Valentine’s Day dance is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave, Mukilteo. There will be dancing, dance lessons, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, a photo booth, desserts, refreshments and more. All ages are welcome. Friends of Library meeting: The Friends of the Edmonds Library meets at 6 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs Plaza Room at the library, 650 Main St. Emily Hill, a local author of two novels and a short story collection, will be the featured speaker. Clothing drive: The Snohomish County Republican Party is collecting clothing for refugee children who have left Mosul, Iraq. Needed items include fleece throws, baby blankets, children’s socks, jackets, stocking hats, sweaters and other warm clothing.

New and used clothing can be dropped off at the party’s office at 514 State Ave., #109, in Marysville. Call ahead: 360-653-1100. Cash donations can be made online at www.snocogop.com/donate. The last day to donate is Feb. 3.
