Volunteers are invited to help plant trees and shrubs along Allen Creek in Marysville on Saturday to help restore salmon habitat.
The work party, organized by the Adopt A Stream Foundation, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 9311 67th Ave. NE.
Allen Creek was once a productive salmon stream, but over the years the trees and shrubs along the stream have been removed or eaten by farm animals, according to the foundation.
Equipment will be provided.
