The Mountlake Terrace Library is inviting adults to join its professional networking group.
The group is led by WorkSource, which works to connect people with job opportunities.
The event is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m on Dec. 30. The networking group meets each Monday.
There is no cost to participate.
The Mountlake Terrace Library is located at 23300 58th Ave. West.

New Year’s Eve pajama party
Imagine Children’s Museum is hosting a New Year’s Eve pajama party with a variety show, glow-in-the-dark bowling, face painting and more.
Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
The party starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
There will be a members-only event starting at 6 p.m.
The museum is located at 1502 Wall Street.

Legislative kick-off breakfast
Join state lawmakers and the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County for a breakfast before legislators head to Olympia for the 2020 session.
The event is free and will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Jackson Conference Center at Everett Community College.
“By sharing our ideas with legislators they can better advocate for our businesses and communities here in Snohomish County,” an event description said.

The State of Everett address is near
Tickets for the annual State of Everett address are on sale.
The event brings business and city leaders together for a breakfast where Mayor Cassie Franklin shares her direction for the city’s future.
Tickets range from $35 to $50.
The event starts with networking at 7 a.m. and breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m.

Opening on Marysville commission
The city of Marysville is seeking applicants for a spot on the Civil Service Commission.
The committee has three members and meets monthly. The open term expires in March.
To apply, submit a letter of interest and resume by Dec. 31 to Human Services Manager Teri Lester at 1049 State Ave.
Applicants must have lived in Marysville for three years and be registered to vote in Snohomish County.

Waste Management holiday schedule
Waste Management will not be providing pickup services on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. After each of those days, service for all customers will be delayed one day.
For Wednesday customers, service will be on Thursday. For Thursday customers, service will be on Friday. For Friday customers, service will be on Saturday.
Additionally, Waste Management customers may recycle Christmas trees with no artificial dust or spray in their yard waste bins, as long as the trees are cut so all pieces can fit in the bin.
