We want to see your photos of outdoor adventures in the Northwest. Some photos will be published in The Herald’s outdoor sports page.
Send high-resolution photos to jbuchanan@heraldnet.com. Include your name, the name of anyone in the photo, when and where it was shot and why you took the photo the way you did.
Benefit meal for flu victims: A benefit with a spaghetti feast, silent auction and live auction is scheduled today for Camano Island twins who contracted swine flu.
Mike Wolfe, 31, died April 2 in Everett. His twin brother, Steve Wolfe, also contracted swine flu but survived. Neither had health insurance.
The spaghetti dinner costs $7 for adults and $5 for children. Doors open at noon at American Legion Frank H. Hancock Post 92, 26817 88th Ave. NW, Stanwood. Food will be served from 1 to 3 p.m.
The silent auction is scheduled to begin at noon, followed by the live auction later in the afternoon.
Clean up Edmonds beach: Help remove litter from the shoreline of Edmonds Marine Sanctuary and explore the beach at low tide with a naturalist.
The event is 2 to 4 p.m. today. Wear gloves and boots and meet at the Visitor Station, at the foot of Dayton Street.
Bring an old bucket if you have one.
All ages are welcome and no registration is required.
