Tell readers how to help

The Herald will run its annual Ways to Give list on Nov. 17. Ways to Give lets readers see which groups in our community need help during the holiday season.

If your nonprofit organization, or one you know, would like to be listed, please send the following information to Herald writer Christina Harper: Name of organization, what services you provide, hours, address, a phone number to be included in the listing, a phone number where a Herald reporter can reach your group, and which items or services are needed. Information can be e-mailed to harper@ heraldnet.com or mailed to Christina Harper, Ways to Give, P.O. Box 930, Everett, 98206.

Deadline is noon on Thursday.

Studded tires OK starting today

The State Department of Transportation says motorists can begin using studded tires today.

Then again, mountain or snow tires might save a little pavement. Check with a tire dealer about options.

Check us for election results

Readers are invited to get a look at early results for the presidential race Tuesday by checking The Herald’s Web site at www. heraldnet.com.

Heraldnet will post results starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, after polls close on the East Coast.

Check the site throughout the evening and into the early morning as information is updated and results in federal, state and local elections are posted.
