Girl, 1, dies from gunshot wound near Granite Falls

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating the weapons assault report Saturday night.

GRANITE FALLS — A 1-year-old girl died from a gunshot wound Saturday night in the Granite Falls area.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 5:50 p.m. to a weapons assault complaint in the 8600 block of Highway 92. When they arrived the child had suffered the injury, and later was pronounced dead.

Detectives were investigating.
