GRANITE FALLS — A 54-year-old Granite Falls man was shot in the head and airlifted to a hospital Monday afternoon.
The alleged shooter, a 20-year-old man from Granite Falls, reportedly reacted after the older man came to his residence around 4:10 p.m. and threatened him and a woman, 55, and killed their dog, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. In being there, the older man allegedly violated a court order and got into the home, where the 20-year-old man shot him.
He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The people involved in the incident are known to each other, according to the sheriff’s office. No arrests were made and the sheriff’s office Major Crimes Unit was investigating the shooting.
