MILL CREEK — Human skeletal remains were discovered Saturday in the 200 block of 130th Street SE, in unincorporated Snohomish County near the northern border of Mill Creek.
Someone found the remains in a shallow grave in a wooded area. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the location around 5 p.m. Saturday and continued to process the scene through Sunday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Circumstances surrounding the death are unknown, but detectives continue to investigate.
Identification, as well as cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
