EVERETT — Adopt A Stream Foundation, in partnership with Alderleaf Wilderness College, will host an Introduction to Wildlife Tracking session at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Northwest Stream Center, 600-128th Street SE.
The event will be led by Jason Knight, the co-founder of Alderleaf Wilderness College, a nature education and wilderness survival school in Monroe. Knight has managed mountain lion studies for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and is the author of The Essential Skills of Wilderness Survival.
Participants will learn how to identify the footprints of common species and the signs of large carnivores.
The session is $8 for Adopt A Stream members and $10 for general admission. Proceeds will support the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s environmental education curriculum and the Alderleaf Wilderness College.
