Man, 35, dies from heart attack while hiking Lake 22

GRANITE FALLS — A man died after suffering a heart attack while hiking Lake 22 near Granite Falls on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Around 3 p.m., the man, 35, went unconscious on the trail, said Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Dave Hayes.
After an attempt at CPR, the man was declared dead at the scene, Hayes said.
The man died about 1½ miles from the trailhead, located off Mountain Loop Highway.
Lake 22 is a popular, moderate hike, about six miles roundtrip with over 1,400 feet of elevation gain.
