SEATTLE — The King County prosecutor has filed a second-degree murder charge against a 28-year-old man in last Thursday’s fatal shooting at the Federal Way Transit Center.
Merlin Norman Bell was also charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of a firearm.
Charging documents say the 19-year-old victim, De’Von Winston-Parks, was shot following an altercation with Bell.
If convicted, Bell could face a sentence of 17 to 25 years. He remains jailed on $1 million bail. His arraignment is scheduled Oct. 5.
