Man injured after truck rolls onto car on I-5 in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A Seattle man, 33, suffered minor injuries after a rollover wreck in Lynnwood on Wednesday afternoon.

The wreck was reported about 12:45 p.m. at the northbound I-5 offramp onto 44th Avenue W., said Larry Hadland, a medical services officer with the Lynnwood and Mukilteo fire departments.

A heavy-duty commercial truck hit a pickup truck and a car, and then rolled over onto the car, officials said. The truck driver was taken to a local hospital and was later released. No other injuries were reported.

Lynnwood police are investigating the crash. They believe the truck driver ran a red light leading up to the crash, police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
