Man killed in rollover crash on I-5 in Everett

EVERETT — A man died after a rollover crash on I-5 early Monday morning.

No one else was hurt.

About 2:30 a.m., the man’s SUV apparently clipped a FedEx truck while changing lanes. Both vehicles were headed south near the Silver Lake rest area, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.

The 1994 Isuzu Rodeo went off the road to the right and rolled and the driver was thrown, Leary said.

The identity of the man who died has not been released pending family notification, he said.

Several lanes of I-5 were closed early Monday as police collected evidence.

This is the third fatal crash on I-5 in Snohomish County this year, Leary said.
