MARYSVILLE — A search is underway for a man suspected of assaulting a Marysville resident in her home during an attempted robbery Wednesday morning.
According to a press release from the Marysville Police Department, the woman was alone in her home on the 17400 block of 27th Avenue when the suspected entered the home around 8:40 a.m., grabbed her from behind and pulled her to the ground. She broke free and struck the suspect in the head, at which point he fled the home, the release said.
Police dogs and officers didn’t find the suspect, the release said.
Police are seeking a white male in his 40s or 50s with a full beard, long brown or dark hair and a teardrop tattoo in the corner of his left eye. He is described as being of “average build” and between 5-foot-1 and 6 feet tall.
