MILL CREEK — Police in Mill Creek picked up a suspected prolific car prowler earlier this month.
Officers were called to 11th Drive SE, off of Trillium Boulevard, early in the morning of May 5.
A man reported seeing someone break into his van, Mill Creek police Sgt. Ian Durkee said.
Investigators made contact with a 19-year-old Everett man who was driving a truck in the area.
The man admitted to having prowled several cars in the area, and the officer spotted property that appeared to be stolen, Durkee said. The man also said he had prowled cars in six other places in Mill Creek and in Mukilteo.
He was arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property.
Mill Creek and Mukilteo police are working together on the investigation, Durkee said. Much of the stolen property from Mill Creek has been returned to its owners, and Mukilteo police will be working to return stolen property in their city.
The man also is under investigation for theft and trafficking in stolen property.
