MONROE — The Monroe School Board is looking for about 20 volunteers to review the school district’s budget.
The board hopes that half of the group will be made up of school employees, and half residents. The budget committee is expected to evaluate the operating budget for opportunities for increasing revenue and reducing costs. In addition, the group will look for programs that may need more funding.
An orientation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Monroe Middle School library, 351 Short Columbia St.
