Tune your radio to 1520 AM and hit a brand new radio station based in Everett.
Classic Country 1520 KXA hit the air late yesterday. The first song the station played was “Simple Man” by Charlie Daniels. The station will feature country favorites from the ’80s and ’90s with artists such as Travis Tritt as well as legends like Johnny Cash. The station will also carry WSU football and basketball games, the Silvertips, Everett Aquasox and high school sports games.
The station becomes the second locally operated radio station by the Skotdal family. The FCC gave the station the green light to operate its new transmitter facility in the Snohomish River Valley.
