ARLINGTON — Walmart employees at Smokey Point called 911 early Thursday morning to report that the store received a bomb threat, officials said.
They made the report around 5:55 a.m., according to an Arlington Police Department report.
There were five customers in the store at the time, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
Police arrived within minutes and emptied the building as a precaution, Banfield said.
Arlington police requested assistance from a Washington State Patrol dog team trained to locate bombs and explosives.
Nothing was found and the store was reopened for business.
