Northwest Avalanche Center offers free Saturday course in Everett

EVERETT — The Northwest Avalanche Center is teaching a free avalanche awareness class at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Northwest Stream Center, 600 128th St. SE.

The introductory class will provide basic approaches to managing risks, including how to access avalanche and mountain weather forecasts, as well as how to recognize the most common signs of avalanche danger.

Space is limited to 125 people, and the event is free. However, participants must pre-register online at https://nwac.us/avalanche-awareness-classes/.
