MARYSVILLE — A man died Saturday at about 3 a.m. in a crash on southbound I-5.
A Honda Accord was stopped or moving slowly in the right lane of the freeway just south of Marysville, near exit 198, the Washington State Patrol said.
A Ford pickup travelling in the same lane struck the Honda from behind, ramming it into the guardrail. The pickup truck rolled, slid onto its roof and struck the guardrail before coming to rest on the right shoulder.
The driver of the Honda, Daniel Aquino Indalecio, 22, of Granite Falls, died at the scene, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the pickup, a 27-year-old Everett man, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. The collision is under investigation.
