TOLEDO, Ore. — The small plane crash in Toledo killed the 51-year-old pilot from Newport and a 4-year-old girl from Seattle. The girl’s mother survived.
KGW-TV reported that the family was traveling Saturday from Newport to Seattle when the plane went down in the parking lot at the Georgia-Pacific paper mill.
Police say Douglas Nebert was piloting the plane. His 32-year-old stepdaughter, April Gleason, and her 4-year-old daughter, Zoey Wahl, of Seattle, were in the plane with him.
Nebert and Zoey died in the crash. Gleason was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
