Pedestrian struck, killed on Highway 529

EVERETT — A man died after being struck by a car on Highway 529 Friday night.
The southbound portion of the highway was closed around 9:30 p.m. while traffic detectives investigated, according to the Everett Police Department. Police announced after midnight that the road had reopened.
The investigation is ongoing. The Snohomish County medical examiner is expected to determine cause and manner of death, as well as the man’s identity and age.
The man was on foot. No additional details were immediately available.
