EVERETT — Police said they seized $1.5 million worth of drugs from an abandoned Everett apartment last week.

On Wednesday night, apartment staff were processing an eviction on the abandoned unit, according to a press release from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Inside the apartment, the building manager found lots of drugs. He called 911.

Everett police went to the apartment. Noting the huge amount of drugs, they asked for help, according to the press release. The Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force went to the scene.

Detectives reportedly recovered over 3 kilograms of heroin, 2.5 kilograms of pure fentanyl powder and over 100,000 pills suspected to contain fentanyl, 989 grams of cocaine, over 21 kilograms of methamphetamine and 101 gallons of ethanol. Detectives determined the quantity “was indicative of a high-level drug trafficking organization,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Local investigators, along with federal agents, have identified persons of interest in the case. The investigation remained active Monday.
