EVERETT — A robber slashed a clerk’s head with a knife Thursday morning at a convenience store south of Everett.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to a gas station in the 700 block of 128th Street SW after the 7:50 a.m. attack. Hours later, the assailant remained at large, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The clerk suffered a knife wound to the top of his head, but it wasn’t serious enough that he needed to go to the hospital, sheriff’s spokeswoman Courtney O’Keefe said. He was treated at the scene.
On social media, the sheriff’s office posted still photos of a suspect in a blue and white Chicago White Sox hat, with a blue-and white bandana around his neck. The images show him wearing a black backpack, a black jacket, tan pants and gray and white shoes. He ran from the scene.
Detectives believe they had identified him by the afternoon, but he remained at large.
Tips can be directed to the sheriff’s office at 425-388-3845.
