Police seek man who robbed Edmonds Starbucks

EDMONDS — Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a Starbucks in Edmonds.

A man walked into the coffee shop at the intersection of Highway 99 and 220th Street SW around 6 p.m. Tuesday. He announced he was robbing the store and demanded money, Edmonds police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.

No weapon was shown, and the man ran away with cash that he wrapped inside a newspaper.

The man is described as white, 20 to 30 years old and about 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue or black T-shirt with a graffiti pattern on the front, denim shorts, sunglasses and a black Mariners cap, worn backward. He was carrying a black and beige Eastpak-brand backpack.
