MARYSVILLE – Detectives are trying to untangle a reported robbery and assault that was reported to have taken place at a Marysville bus stop.
A Mount Vernon man, 20, called 911 to report he’d been hurt in the attack while standing at the corner of Fourth Street and 47th Avenue NE, Marysville police Lt. Jeff Goldman said. The man suffered head wounds and was stabbed in his arm and leg.
The victim told police he was given a ride to the 1200 block of State Avenue NE where he called police. He was taken from there to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Goldman said the victim wasn’t cooperative with police and detectives still are trying to determine exactly where the original assault took place.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Marysville Police Department at 360-363-8300.
