People whose homes are affected by flooding can find a clean, dry place to stay at two shelters operated by Snohomish County’s American Red Cross chapter.
The first shelter opened at 11:30 a.m. today at the VOA Sky Valley Camp at 701 First St. in Sultan. A second shelter will open at 1 p.m. today at The Rock Church at 16891 146th St. SE in Monroe.
People who want to stay at the shelters should bring one blanket, pillows, any needed prescription medication and a small toy if they plan to bring a child. Pets are not allowed in the shelter. Cots, blankets, food and beverages will be provided.
People who plan to leave their homes for the shelter should check on elderly or disabled neighbors to see if they need help moving to a shelter.
