GRANITE FALLS — Authorities have been searching for days for a King County woman missing since Saturday near Heather Lake.
The woman, 61, told her family she was going to a state park Saturday around noon, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe. That was the last anyone heard from her.
On social media, loved ones identified the missing woman as Jane Tang.
Search and rescue teams have been searching for Tang in the area since Saturday.
Crews found her car at the Heather Lake trailhead off Mountain Loop Highway. Initially, authorities in King County were leading the search. But when the car was found, Snohomish County crews took over.
Search operations have been tough due to snowy conditions, O’Keefe said. Rescue crews have used ground teams, trucks, snowmobiles and a helicopter to look for the woman.
They continued searching Thursday.
