Lynnwood: Reward for burglary info
A reward leading to a conviction in a Lynnwood gun store burglary has doubled to $10,000.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation – the trade association for the firearms industry – has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the March 26 burglary.
The break-in was reported on March 26 at the Lynnwood Gun and Ammunition store, a federally licensed gun dealer, in the 20800 block of Highway 99. Police believe someone broke into the store overnight and stole about 100 handguns, mostly semi-automatics.
The new reward matches a $5,000 reward offered by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
ATF and Lynnwood police have been investigating the theft.
Anyone with information is asked to call ATF’s toll-free, 24-hour tip line at 800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867), the ATF Seattle Field Division Office at 206-389-5800 or detective Anne Miles with the Lynnwood Police Department at 425-670-5669 or 425-670-5600. Callers don’t have to give their names.
