LYNNWOOD — Lynnwood police are asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect who was shot at by a sergeant in a pursuit Tuesday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Lane Scott Phipps, 26, 5-foot-11, 185 pounds with blue eyes.
Phipps was last seen at about noon Tuesday, driving a black 2011 Jaguar XF near the Pick-n-Pull at 18306 Highway 99, according to police. The car displayed a temporary tag numbered A5378260. Phipps was last seen armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, according to a Lynnwood police press release.
The suspect is reportedly wanted for investigation of first-degree assault, felony harassment and other crimes.
“He also has active warrants for his arrest including attempted murder out of Whatcom County and escape from community custody from the (state) Department of Corrections,” police wrote.
Lynnwood police continued to look for Phipps Wednesday evening. The department encouraged anyone who sees him or the black Jaguar to call 911. Phipps is considered armed and dangerous.
