Seattle mayor announcing nightlife initiative

SEATTLE — The office of Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn says he’ll announce his nightlife initiative tonight at a nightspot in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
McGinn’s office says it’s a proposal for creating a safe and vibrant nighttime economy.
Musicians from the School of Rock are scheduled to perform at the 7 p.m. event at the Century Ballroom and Cafe.
