50 years ago (1964)
In another move to make way for the new Seattle-First National Bank, Everett Branch, expansion and expanded facilities, the Owl Pharmacy announced plans to move into the building formerly occupied by Everett Trust and Savings Bank at 2823 Colby Ave. The Owl Rexall Drug Store was presently at 1610 Hewitt Ave.
Rick Pouliot, Robert Adams and John Scofield, members of the Everett Racing Pigeon Club, donated the services of their racing pigeons in support of the National Foundation-March of Dimes drive. The Pigeon Lift would be staged Saturday at the corner of Hewitt and Colby avenues.
25 years ago (1989)
The Artful Nuance at 2701 Colby Ave. had expanded and added a second location at 3819 Broadway. It specialized in art for homes and businesses, carried posters and limited edition artwork and did consulting. Kathy Hulet was the owner and manager.
Herman’s Lock and Keys was open for business at 9023 Evergreen Way at the Anderson shopping Center in Intercity. It provided shop or mobile service for home, business and auto. Doug Herman was the owner and manager of the new business.
