50 years ago (1964)
Virginia Peglow, Patricia Radowits and Sharon Sullivan were currently in Innsbruck, Austria. The three Everett girls were enjoying a European tour that was also taking them to the Vatican, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, England, Scotland and Ireland.
Gay Ann Johansen, a recent graduate of Cascade High, had enlisted in the U.S. Navy after attaining a perfect score in the Waves acceptance test. Her scholastic fete was the highest ever in the area. She was the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Johansen, Hawthorne Apartments.
25 years ago (1989)
Mary Davidson and David Koss recently received promotions at Everett Mutual Savings Bank. Davidson, previously a customer service representative, was promoted to operations supervisor at the main branch downtown. Koss, previously a loan representative, was promoted to operations supervisor a the Madison branch.
Jeff Upton, Michael Perry, Beth Anderson, Jim Yotts and Doug Yones worked to free marine life from a gillnet in Mukilteo. The members of an area diving club went to bat for an untold number of sea creatures from becoming entangled in a stray net.
