Snohomish tire store erupts in flames

The fire at Eastside Tire and Muffler was reported early Wednesday morning.

SNOHOMISH — A fire erupted at a tire store early Wednesday morning.

An employee at a gas station across the street on Avenue D called 911 after seeing flames at 2:36 a.m. at Eastside Tire and Muffler. Several crews from Snohomish County Fire District 4 and other agencies responded.

The building appeared to be a total loss. The cause was under investigation.

Avenue D was restricted between the 1100 and 1200 blocks so firefighters could evaluate the scene and clear it.
