EVERETT — A man was critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a shooting in south Everett, according to Everett Police Department officer Kerby Duncan.
Around 2 p.m., first responders were called to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 7700 block of Timber Hill Drive, in the Valley View neighborhood.
A man may have fled the scene in a white Toyota sedan, or he may have fled on foot, Duncan said.
The injured man, reportedly in his 30s, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Witnesses on scene told detectives there was an argument that led up to the shooting, according to a press release.
“While the relationship of the suspect and the victim is under investigation, it does not appear to be a random act of violence,” Duncan said.
Police were still searching for a possible suspect vehicle Tuesday evening.
