SPOKANE — Spokane Mayor Mary Verner wants to tap the city’s red-light camera ticket revenue to help balance next year’s budget.

KREM reports she’s proposing to move about half of the $700,000 a year in fines to the general fund.

The red-light camera money is promised to fund traffic safety projects.
